Atlas V MMS LaunchFor children ages 6-12. Since the library can’t go into outer space, space is coming to the library! NASA will present a program on life in space. You will learn how astronauts live off the planet — from waking up until they go to bed, all on an space station. From beds with straps to special space food, you’ll learn how much living in space changes everything they do and the science behind all the challenges to living in space. There will also be an astronaut food tasting. Find out the science of food in space as you make and taste a real space meal!

No tickets or registration are required to attend. The program is held in the Water Holland Meeting Room by the Circulation Desk. Door opens about 10 minutes before the program begins. After the program starts, no one will be admitted. Please do not be late. Due to space limitations, day care groups can not be accommodated.  Please call (409) 643-5983 for more details.
